Missing, originally titled 1-800-Missing, is a Canadian television show based on the 1-800-Where-R-You? series by Meg Cabot. The show aired for three seasons from 2003 to 2006 on the A and W Networks in Canada September 8, 2008 and the Lifetime channel in the United States.

Main Characters[]

Jess Mastriani (Caterina Scorsone)- a woman in her early 20's who develops psychic powers after being struck by lightning. These powers first manifest in her dreams, which show glimpses of the whereabouts of missing people in symbols and images that must be deciphered. Later on in the series, she is able to receive visions while she is awake. Due to her visions, she is recruited as an FBI consultant (eventually becoming an agent).

Season One[]

Brooke Haslett (Gloria Reuben) - a seasoned veteran of the FBI, she is a stoic agent and Jess's supervisor who helps her locate missing people. She is initially skeptical of Jess's abilities but eventually trust them enough to rely on them.

Alan Coyle (Dean McDermott) - head of the special FBI task force that locates missing people. He supervises and oversees the missions.

Sunny Estrada (Justina Machado) - an expert computer whizz who developed a programme that can help decipher the symbols in Jess's visions. Like her namesake she often has a cheery demeanour and loves to joke around,

Douglas Mastriani (Adam MacDonald) - Jess's brother who suffers from schizophrenia, He is often unstable and relies on Jess and their mother for support

Season Two and Three[]

Nicole Scott (Vivica A. Fox) - Jess's second partner after she completes her Quantico training. Nicole is a no-nonsense FBI agent who isn't afraid to get her hands dirty. She is an expert in undercover, covert missions and has a romantic, yet bitter, history with Antonio.

Antonio Cortez (Mark Consuls) - the FBI task force's computer expert, Antonia is able to hack systems and networks, track individuals and access vital information which helps the team understand Jess's visions.

John Pollock (Justin Louis) - Assistant Director of the task force. He is a well-respect member of the FBI who must often handle the political situations that can affect the team.

Home release[]

The only DVD release to date has been the show's second season (titled as Missing: Season 2) as a four disc set from Lions Gate Home Entertainment on January 24, 2006.

As of 19 May 2015 LionsGate states that they currently have no plans to release Season 1 and 3 on DVD.

All three seasons were on Netflix in 2013, but have since been removed.

As of July 2019 all three seasons are available on Tubi.

All three seasons are available on Amazon Prime Video in 2020.
