The Princess Diaries is a young adult series by Meg Cabot. The first novel, The Princess Diaries, was published by HarperTrophy in September 2000. The series was originally concluded with the tenth novel titled Forever Princess (2009) until 2015's Royal Wedding and 2023's The Quarantine Princess Diaries. Besides the main twelve novels, the series also has four novellas and four companion novels.
Cabot began a spin-off series, From the Notebooks of a Middle School Princess in 2015.
